Comme annoncé, le projet Callisto de la fondation Eclipse a éclos le 30 juin dernier, symbolisant la plus vaste sortie de logiciels de l'Open Source. Pour rappel, Callisto regroupe 10 projets : BIRT, l'IDE C/C++, EMF (Eclipse Modeling Framework), GEF(Graphical Editor Framework), Graphical Modeling Framework, Eclipse Project, Eclipse Test and Performance Tools Platform Project, Eclipse Web Tools Platform Project, et enfin VE (Visual Editor). Son objectif : "éliminer toute incertitude autour des versions de chaque projet, et permettre ainsi à nos membres de débuter leurs projets d'intégration et de tests plus tôt", explique la fondation Eclipse.
